Musings

The brain candy I'd like to get out of this class:
The reason why I'm choosing to pursue the BFA in Visual Communications is to apply the principals of graphic design to my illustrative work. I would like to focus on form and creating convincing illustrative environments. And finally, I want more practice with combining words and images to create powerful messages.

Possible projects or subjects to learn:
I'm interested in projects that revolve around designing for social causes.
I'm also interested in creating and designing a short story book.

Concerns and nightmares:
My largest concerns, and fears, with developing as a designer is the idea that I will not be able to find a niche, or job, in the design world with my type of work. I really want to discover what part of graphic design I can be successful in with my type of work.
